In Normandy, rain is part of the landscape. And honestly, this is also what makes the region so green, so lively and sometimes so beautiful. Grey days are often perfect to slow down a bit: a long lunch, a museum visit, a tea room, a few shops or just watch the rain fall from the cottage with a book and coffee.
The rain in our house is often temporary - a covered morning can give way to a nice afternoon. Keep your plans flexible and check the weather in the morning before leaving.

A rainy day is ideal for a shopping morning. Caen has beautiful pedestrian streets with good French signs - convenient and pleasant. Deauville has its elegant shops and galleries for a more luxurious experience.
